How to choose the right CRM for your property business

You know that a CRM system for your property business will enhance the way you work and help your business succeed.
Now you have to choose one.
When “comparing apples to apples”, it can be a challenge working out which CRM is right for your business.
After all making the wrong decision can often cause more problems than it solves.
Here are the questions you should be asking yourself before making that decision.
Can I buy off the shelf CRM software?
You could, but the problem with a one size fits all approach is that ultimately it doesn’t. Off the shelf CRM is not configured for property, so you’ll get limited value from it.
A good CRM system does not mean that you must change the way you work to make it work. That won’t be improving your business, just complicating it.
Can I use a CRM feature comparison?
Comparing checklists of features can only get you so far (‘cause nothing compares), there isn’t a checkbox that confirms what this CRM software can do specifically for your business.
Neither will a CRM feature matrix tell you what problems you could encounter when you try to integrate it into your business.
Can I rely on CRM reviews?
Reviews certainly give you an independent perspective and usually an honest and frank opinion.
However, is the review by someone using a CRM for a property business? Does it give you the pros and the cons?
If not, then their experience of CRM is of limited value to you.
Which CRM is the best for my business?
The CRM you choose needs to be configured for your industry, your business and for property if it’s going to add value to your business.
Understanding why and how you will use the CRM system is the first step.
Consider these factors:
Price
How much is a great CRM worth to you and your business?
Functionality
What existing systems does it need to integrate with (e.g. Outlook, Evernote, Google Drive, DropBox etc.)?
How will your team use it?
Do you need access from your mobile device?
Will it do everything you need it to do?
Support and Training
Do you need training to use the CRM?
Do you want the option of ongoing support?
Future Proofing
Is it scalable – can it be configured to grow with your business?
Whether you are a property developer, investor or manager, there is a CRM system to suit you IF it is configured to work for your property business.
We researched different CRMs like Hubspot, Pipedrive, Agile CRM, Less Annoying CRM, Infusionsoft and Zoho CRM, and concluded that Insightly CRM is the best for small and micro property businesses.
Insightly CRM provides the best fit for a property business when it is expertly configured as a CRM for Property Success.
