10 Steps to a CRM for Property.

Step 2: Learn how to use your CRM

You’ve chosen a CRM and bought it; great stuff!

Now it’s time to learn how to set it up.

Don’t be tempted to wing it; there are lots of great resources available online to help you work it all out.

Step 2: Learn how to use your CRM

Head over to YouTube for a quick intro to the basics. You’ll be able to access beginner tutorials for most of the main CRM systems, but for more advanced guidance you’ll need to look elsewhere.

You’re going to need to learn how to configure your CRM, how to set up its automated features and integrate your existing apps. Unless you’ve set up a CRM before (or are a bit of a system addict?), you’re going to need help with this.

Don’t fall into the trap! The most common pitfall is not investing enough time in learning how to set up your CRM. If you don’t spend the time, you’re never going to get the most value out of it.

You could join forums or Facebook groups to ask questions and share knowledge. Don’t forget to join our group CRM for Property Success here. And you could look at more formalised paid for learning. Check out Udemy’s CRM courses, to get a deeper insight and more detailed guidance on setting up your system.

What’s the most important thing to take away right now?

It’s this.

If your CRM looks like a glorified contacts list, you haven’t invested enough time in it, and you need to go back to the start.
