If you want to take your property business to the next level, you’re going to need to grow your team. You should be focusing on your IGTs, that’s your income-generating tasks, and not bogged down in the day to day grunt work.

Step 8: Onboard an assistant

So, you onboard a new team member to take the time-consuming tasks off your plate and free you up to focus on your IGTs. But they can’t just step in and take over. You’re going to need to train them to use your CRM before you feel any benefit.

You could sit down with them and teach them everything you do, as you do it. The big downside is that this will eat up tonnes of your time. So, to save time, you’ll need to expend a lot of time – which sounds counterproductive right? And don’t forget, you’ll need to do this with every new person you bring on board too!

Or you could do what we did.

We built a team of virtual assistants (VAs). Then we created operations manuals and videos recording the tasks we do most frequently to share with them.

This made it super simple for our VAs to get up to speed with our CRM really quickly and gives them a permanent ‘how-to’ reference library too.

And the big bonus of a CRM when you have a team to manage? It allows you  to delegate and collaborate with them super efficiently too.
